Daniel A. Kosmatka, CPA, PFS, CFF, CGMA – Partner
A native of the Rogue Valley, Dan Kosmatka graduated from Southern Oregon State College (now Southern Oregon University) with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. After gaining extensive experience while working for Deloitte Haskins & Sells, a “Big 8” accounting firm, in Honolulu, Portland, and Medford, he purchased its Medford office in 1976.
Dan specializes in taxation, financial planning, and estate planning. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). He is also a Registered Representative of 1st Global Capital Corp., Member FINRA/SIPC, and an Investment Adviser Representative of 1st Global Advisors, Inc.
Dan is currently a member of the Medford Chamber of Commerce, a past Member and past Chairman of the Providence Community Board, Treasurer of the St. Mary's Endowment Fund, and a Board Member of the Gordon Elwood Foundation and the Southern Oregon University Foundation. He was also a past member of governing council of the AICPA; past President, Vice President, Secretary, and Board Member of the OSCPA, past President of Southern Oregon Estate Planning Council, and past Officer, Board Treasurer, and Member of Medford Rotary Club.
Outside the office, Dan enjoys working out, golfing, and playing racquetball. One of his favorite pastimes is feeling the rush of the wind as he explores the country by motorcycle. He likes swimming and snorkeling in the open sea, spending time with friends and family, and helping his grandchildren in their life adventures.

Dennis W. Donnelly, CPA, PFS – PartnerAlso a graduate of Southern Oregon State College (now SOU) with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Dennis Donnelly has wide-ranging experience performing and supervising accounting and auditing engagements of varied degrees of complexity. Prior to co-founding KD&Co, he was an auditor and supervisor with an international CPA firm and worked in the private sector as a Controller and Treasurer of a publicly held wood products manufacturer.
Dennis has extensive experience with family businesses, medical practices, wholesalers, manufacturing, banks, construction contractors, ERISA audits, nonprofit organizations, transportation companies, petroleum distributors, and other industries. Dennis has also been a Certified Valuation Analyst (currently inactive) and performs business valuations for mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, gifting, divorce, and other purposes.
A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), Dennis is also a Registered Representative of 1st Global Capital Corp., Member FINRA/SIPC. He is a member, past President, and former Board Member of Southern Oregon Chapter of the OSCPA; former Chair of the Oregon Board of Accountancy; and past Board Member and past Treasurer of Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development, Inc.
Outside the office, Dennis enjoys fishing the Rogue River and local lakes, tooling around the coastal dunes on his ATV, and restoring classic cars—currently a sweet ’87 blue and silver Chevy truck! An avid concertgoer, he especially enjoys music of the ‘60s. Dennis is a proud father of son Kevin and daughter-in-law Julie, and enjoys his new status as a grandfather.

Michael R. Gohde, CPA, PFS – PartnerMichael Gohde joined the firm in 1985 and became a partner in 2000. He directs the firm's tax practice. He specializes in providing tax, estate, and business planning to individuals and companies, and particularly enjoys customizing wealth management plans for clients to help them achieve their financial planning goals. He holds B.S. degrees in both Mathematics and Business Administration from the University of Oregon.
Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). He is also a Registered Representative of 1st Global Capital Corp., Member FINRA/SIPC, and a licensed Life, Health, Variable Life Insurance Agent. He has served as past Board Member of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the OSCPA, past Member of the City of Medford Budget Committee, and past Secretary and past Chairman of the Donation Committee of the Kiwanis Club of Medford.
Outside the office Mike can be found running marathons, gardening, and playing the electric bass.
John BeallJohn Beall has a wealth of experience in both public and private accounting, starting in 1987. John gained significant knowledge working as the controller for three different small businesses, during which time he developed expertise in inventory management and construction accounting. He also has considerable experience in setup and implementation of accounting systems, such as Peachtree, ACCPAC, and MAS90. John has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting, with a minor in Criminology. While born and raised in Los Angeles, California, John’s favorite place to visit is San Francisco. He also enjoys reading about American political history. John and his wife, Debbie, have two sons: Michael and Brandon, both of whom became Finance majors at Oregon State University.
Diane Berger, CPADiane Berger is the firm's Accounting Services Manager. She is a CPA who worked as an accountant for corporate and non-profit entities before joining KDCO in 1997. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a special emphasis in Accounting at California State University, Fullerton. Her areas of expertise are working with business start ups, corporate and partnership tax returns, reviewed and compiled financial statements, special client projects, and the management and training of accountants assigned to the accounting services department. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, and also one of two staff members certified as a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. Diane's favorite pastime is watching her children play volleyball and basketball. All three have received collegiate athletic scholarships—Fresno State, Utah State, and Dixie College. "Go Teams!"
Brenda ChalkBrenda has worked in the accounting field for more than thirty years in Reno, NV and the Rogue Valley, joining Kosmatka Donnelly & Co. LLP as a staff accountant in 2011. She has a passion for her three children and one granddaughter, enjoying watching them play soccer for the past twenty years. She also loves watching her granddaughter dance ballet, tap and jazz. In her spare time, Brenda enjoys reading. Mystery books are her favorite. While in Reno, she was treasurer for the American Heart Association and dedicated some of her time to fundraising for the charity. Brenda is truly an asset to have on staff here at KDCO!
Lucia Hagy, CPALucia Hagy is a CPA who began her public accounting career with KDCO in 1999. Over the years, Lucia has gained experience in the preparation of individual and partnership tax returns, and specializes in the preparation of corporate tax returns. She has also gained valuable experience in the preparation of reviewed and compiled financial statements for a variety of industries.
Lucia emigrated from the Netherlands as a young child and was raised on a dairy farm in Caldwell, Idaho. She attended the University of Montana on a running scholarship. She graduated in the top 10% of her class with a degree in Business Administration, which earned her membership in the National Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma. She later pursued an accounting concentration certificate at the University of Washington.
Lucia enjoys traveling with her husband, Michael, and their three children. Together, they have visited over 20 national parks. Lucia and her husband also stay active in the community by volunteering to coach their children's soccer teams for the last ten years.
Theresa McCoyTheresa administers KDCO’s Information Technology services, providing design, integration, and support for the firm’s clients and employees--as well as serving as Director of Marketing for the firm. Theresa has worked in the Information Technologies field since 1989, focusing on database design, network administration, programming, and technical training. Certified as a Quickbooks Pro Advisor, she can also help you integrate your computer accounting systems. "I love a mystery, and I love being a hero. It feels great to solve a problem or find the right solution for a client or colleague.” In her off time, Theresa plays timpani for the Rogue Valley Symphony, extra percussion for the Britt Festival Orchestra, and a little jazz drums with friends around the valley. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Sean, and three daughters—especially on the Oregon coast.
Lucia SavageLucia Savage was raised in the Rogue Valley and graduated from Phoenix High School. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Science from Southern Oregon University in 2002. She joined KDCO in 2006 and is currently involved in most services provided by the firm. Lucia enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, and their children, camping, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Susan St. Range, CPASusan St. Range is a CPA with extensive experience in both public and private accounting and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants. She began her accounting career in 1994 and specializes in working with the construction, medical, and restaurant industries. Susan has degrees in both Business and Psychology, to which she attributes her success in interacting with clients. She is active in her local PTO, the St. Jude / Butterflies for Brittney Foundation, and the Rogue Ballet. Outside the firm, Susan enjoys reading, live blues music, gardening, and spending time with her son and two daughters.
Susan M. Wolcott, CPA, CFESusan Wolcott began her public accounting career in 1996. Over the years, Susan gained experience in accounting and auditing for large and small private companies and non-profit organizations, consolidated financial statements, audits of employee benefit plans, corporate and individual income tax, compliance engagements, and performance measurement for registered investment advisors.
Susan has recently developed expertise in forensic accounting, fraud investigation, internal control evaluation, and development of fraud prevention programs. With the increase in the occurrence of fraud and her passion for fraud prevention, Susan became a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2008.
Susan holds a Certificate of Accountancy from Southern Oregon University, and B.F.A. and M.A. degrees from University of Utah. She is a member of the AICPA, the Oregon Society of CPAs (OSCPA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Oregon Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. In 2008 she was appointed to the Qualification Committee of the Oregon Board of Accountancy, elected this year to be its Chair, and has served on the Board of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the OSCPA.
Prior to becoming a CPA, Susan spent twenty years in the performing arts as a performer and a university instructor. Away from the office she enjoys teaching international folk dance, dancing, kayaking, hiking, camping, watercolor painting, photography, quilting, reading, spending time with friends and her three grown sons (when they are not off adventuring around the world).
Debbie WrightDebbie Wright, (formerly Kosmatka) joined KDCO in 2009 and is experienced in bookkeeping for small businesses, primarily in the real estate industry. Debbie learned the basics in accounting while helping her husband, Mike, administer their family business in real estate appraisal. Since she joined KDCO, she has gained experience in accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable. Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, gardening, and participating in cardio activities—especially karate. A quote she lives by is: “Practice + Confidence = Success!”
